What We Do

What We Do

I attended Howard University in 1986 and every since that time I have been trying to figure out how to give back in a intentional and sustainable manner using my innate and professional skills as the SVP of Development and Expansion at The Leadership Program, a youth development organization. I believe this is program is it.

Born Ready's Mission is to

give back to a community that has given so much to me by creating a competitive scholarship program to attend a 3 day retreat at my home in San Juan Puerto Rico.

During the retreat students will learn valuable skills such as financial literacy, team-building, life mapping, mindfulness training, mental health strategies, healthy relationships, college study skills, effective communication and so much more...there will also be team-building and fun. This retreat is also meant to be a reward for their hard work thus far. There will be beach time, sight-seeing, bbqs and if time allows a tour of the rainforest or bio-luminescent bay.

Historically black colleges produce more black PhD recipients than any other type of institution .
